By Online Pick Up In-Store
Quivers has introduced BOPIS (Buy Online Pick Up in Store) as a new feature that can be configured within the admin panel. If configured, the consumer selects “Ship It” or “Pick Up” when purchasing a product from your eCommerce store.
If the customer selects the option to ship the product at checkout, the order will be fulfilled normally, but if the customer chooses the “pick up” option, a new window will pop up with a list of stores closest to the customer’s zip code (based on their location set within their browser).
*Note: it is important to discuss with your desired fulfillers this functionality PRIOR to enabling BOPIS. Some fulfillers may not be equipped to handle BOPIS orders.
How does BOPIS work in Quivers?
When a “pick up” order is available in the system, the order will be auto-assigned to the fulfiller that the customer chooses from the list of fulfillers at checkout, and the fulfiller will be notified that an order has been assigned to them.
The fulfiller will click on the “Confirm Pick Up” tab and ready the order for pick up by the customer.
Once the order is ready for pick up, the fulfiller will click on the new “Ready for Pick up” button in the Quivers app, or on the admin panel. This action will then notify the consumer that the order is ready to be picked up.
The email sent to the customer will have the store’s address and a QR Code. The fulfiller can scan the QR code upon pick up, or check an ID to make sure the details match with details on the order.
This feature will be set up in the Claiming Policies section on the admin panel by either creating a new policy or making changes to an existing policy. Let’s take a look.
- Navigate to Fulfillment on the left main menu and select “Claiming Policies” then, click on “Add New Policy” on the top right.
2. Select the products, check the “In-Store Pick -Up” button and select the Storefronts this policy will be applicable to, and click on “Save” on the top right corner
3 . Once this claiming policy is created, navigate to “Order Routing” and enable “Auto-Assignment”
*Note: Auto-Assignment is required to be enabled for the Pick Up in Store feature to work as it is based on fulfiller's inventory and fulfillers will have to update their inventory frequently. If a fulfiller has not updated their inventory within the hours mentioned in the “Maximum Fulfiller Inventory Age,” their store will not be on the list at the products page while the customer will be placing an in-store pick up the order.
4. The final step is setting up the fulfillers who want to participate in BOPIS orders; navigate to the “Fulfillers” section and select the desired fulfiller from the list, and under claiming policies, select the policy you created for this functionality.
